Products and MaterialsUpdated 7 months ago

Circularity starts by extending the lifetime of a product.

More than 40% of people report that their tights do not last beyond 3 wears, and in 70% of cases the maximum number of wears they reach is 6. It is estimated that a person has to buy an average of 10 to 11 tights per season. This means consumers spend around a hundred dollars per year only to experience repeated frustration when their product fails, and throw out over 2 billion pairs of pantyhose each year. This is equivalent to more than 110,000 tonnes of post-consumer waste ending up in landfills.

To counter this, our products are designed from the best of materials science and knitting technology, in classic styles that can be worn year-round. We are continuously looking to improve our production costs so we can pass on savings to our customers. Our goal is to make our products completely affordable and get them into the hands of as many people as possible, to replace disposable hosiery for good.

We’re Committed To Creating Better Plastics

Over the last 60 years, synthetics like nylon have been mass-adopted for their durability. Our durability and the longevity of the garments we can produce with it are unmatched.

Evergreen Inventory

In a world of fast fashion where consumers demand changes every season, apparel brands find themselves caught with massive amounts of unsellable inventory every season. Tights is a category dominated by staples, with consumer preferences remaining relatively constant from season to season and year to year. This reality allows Sheertex to consistently stock the same staples and avoid the traditional build-up of unsellable off-trend merchandise.

Leading Change in Apparel

We have fundamentally changed the hosiery category with our proprietary Sheertex® knit technology. Sheer tights can now be a sustainable staple in your wardrobe.
